16.12.202509:29:23UTC+00Italy November Inflation Revised Down to 1.1%

Italy experienced a continued deceleration in its annual inflation rate, which decreased to 1.1% in November 2025. This was a revision down from initial estimates and lower than October’s 1.2%, marking the slowest pace since October 2024. The decline was primarily due to a significant reduction in regulated energy prices, dropping to –3.2% from –0.5%. Additionally, there were more moderate increases in various sectors: unprocessed food prices rose by 1.1% compared to 1.9%, processed food prices increased by 2.1% down from 2.5%, transport services saw a rise of 0.9% against the previous 2.0%, and recreational, cultural, as well as personal care services grew by 3.0% down from 3.3%. Inflation for goods slowed to 0.1% from 0.2%, and services inflation reduced to 2.3% from 2.6%. Partially counterbalancing these trends was a lessened decrease in unregulated energy prices, which fell by 4.3% compared to 4.9% previously. Core inflation dropped to its lowest in eight months, settling at 1.7% from 1.9%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices experienced a 0.2% decline, aligning with initial forecasts and following a 0.3% reduction in October. The harmonized index of consumer prices matched the annual rise of 1.1% while declining by 0.2% on a monthly basis.
